Project Summary: Metwide Communications was engaged to enhance the security infrastructure of a defence industry contractor that provides services to the Australian government. This project required compliance with DISP Level 1 Certification to ensure the protection of sensitive information and assets. The solution involved advanced CCTV surveillance, access control, and alarm systems, all integrated into a unified platform to meet stringent security requirements.
Scope of Works
CCTV Surveillance System
Deployed Hanwha Vision NDAA-approved cameras to meet government security standards, ensuring high-definition surveillance across critical areas.
Integrated with Hanwha Wisenet Wave Video Management Software (VMS) for real-time monitoring, incident analysis, and secure video storage.
Installed 8MP Hanwha Q Core AI Vandal Dome Cameras to cover external warehouse zones, pedestrian doors, and car parks, providing comprehensive surveillance with night-vision capabilities.
Access Control System
Implemented the Inner Range Integriti System to manage access-controlled entry points, ensuring secure access for authorised personnel only.
Integrated the access control system with Hanwha Wisenet Wave VMS for video verification of access events, enhancing security and situational awareness.
Installed HID Signo readers and high-security door strikes at key locations to manage access effectively and ensure compliance with DISP security protocols.
Intruder Alarm System
The intruder alarm system was integrated into the Inner Range Integriti platform, providing seamless coordination between access control and intrusion detection.
Linked to an A1 Grade 24/7 Monitoring Room, ensuring round-the-clock surveillance and rapid response to any unauthorised access attempts or security breaches.
Installed long-range motion detectors and panic buttons for comprehensive coverage of the facility's perimeter and sensitive areas.
Recording and Storage
Deployed a Lenovo storage server for local video storage, integrated with Hanwha Wisenet Wave VMS for efficient management of CCTV footage.
Implemented cloud backup to ensure redundancy, enabling secure long-term storage and easy retrieval of critical surveillance footage when needed.
Power and Networking Infrastructure
Installed PoE switches to centralise power distribution for IP cameras and other security devices.
Deployed Eaton UPS systems to provide backup power and surge protection, ensuring continuous system operation even during power outages.
System Configuration, Testing, and Training
Configured all security systems for optimal performance, including custom access rights and incident response protocols.
Conducted thorough testing to ensure compliance with DISP Level 1 Certification and that all systems met security standards.
Provided training to the client's security team on system operation and management, with ongoing support and maintenance services.
