Project Summary: Metwide Communications was commissioned to upgrade the network and Wi-Fi infrastructure at the City Recital Hall. The aim was to enhance connectivity for both event spaces and administrative functions, supporting audio-visual equipment, ticketing systems, and guest Wi-Fi access. This project included the design and implementation of a robust wired and wireless network that could handle the demands of live performances and public gatherings.
Scope of Works
Active Network Equipment Procurement and Installation:
Supplied and installed new Aruba 48-port switches to replace older network equipment. These switches were chosen for their high throughput and ability to handle increased network traffic from both staff and visitors during events.
Structured Cabling Installation:
Deployed Cat6a cabling throughout the venue to ensure high-speed wired connectivity for audio-visual systems, ticketing terminals, and administrative offices.
This cabling infrastructure was designed to support the Recital Hall's growing technical demands while maintaining minimal network downtime during events.
Wi-Fi Solution Design and Implementation:
Implemented a high-performance Wi-Fi network using Aruba access points, strategically placed to provide strong coverage across performance spaces, backstage areas, and public zones.
The wireless network was configured to handle large crowds and to support secure connections for critical backstage communications and guest Wi-Fi access.
Ongoing Support and Maintenance:
Provided continuous monitoring and support services, including routine checks and system updates to ensure optimal performance during events.
The maintenance plan also covered network security updates and system enhancements.
