What is VoIP Phone?

VoIP Phone is a VoIP service. VoIP stands for 'Voice over Internet Protocol' – basically, it’s a phone service that transmits your voice over your internet connection.

Do I need a special modem?

To ensure the optimum performance of your VoIP Phone service, and to allow Metwide to deliver full technical support we recommend purchasing our TP-Link VR1600v modem when you order your service.

What kind of handset do I need?

Your existing analogue phone handset should do the trick. You simply need to plug it into the phone port of your VoIP compatible modem, which you can order from Metwide.

Can I bring my landline number across the VoIP Phone?

Yes, in most cases we can bring your existing telephone number over to VoIP Phone using a process called LNP (Local Number Portability). Please call us on 1300 300 210 to enquire.
